". . . Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching comes the changes. . . The tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleanded surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will - to your surprise - miss them profoundly. . . Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey. . . For one day each of us will run out of tomorrows." -Pres. Thomas S. Monson

Long Time, No Post!

Wow! I have not done anything for a while now.... so sorry. Life has been so hectic! Between Hunter's birthday, my birthday, Halloween, Ty's birthday, all of us passing aroung the flu (me getting sick 3 times might I add!), Ty starting a 2nd job, callings, and throwing 2 showers for friends, on top of lots of other family commitments, I haven't had a second to update my blog! :)

So Sharida, you are so right! It's been far too long! Thanks for getting me back.... Here's my tag!

SWEETHEART TAG Each person answers questions about their sweethearts. At the end of the post, the person then tags 6 people and posts their names; then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know they have been tagged.

What is your husbands name? Tyler Brian Gnehm
How long have you guys been married? 2 Years
How long did you date? 9 1/2 months total; dating & engagement
How old is he? Just turned 24 - we're getting up there! :)
Who is taller? Ty for sure, and I love it! I didn't have to give up any of my shoes:)
Who can sing best? I'd have to say me but Ty does have a great voice, even though he doesn't think so.
Who is smarter? Depends.... Probably me when it comes to most school subjects, but when it comes to church knowledge, handyman stuff, and who knows what else, Ty is!
Who does the laundry? Definitely me... Ty has been known to do a load or two but not usually, which I don't mind though. I like being in charge of the laundry, so I know it gets done right. (Ty didn't even know that you could change the water temperature or that you were supposed to! And, I always find money, chapstick, gum, and a number of plumbing supplies in his pockets. Who knows what would happen to our clothes if he did the laundry? I still love you babe!)
Who pays the bills? I pay them, but Ty pays for them! (Thanks sweetie!)
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? When you are looking at the bed, it would be me. I try to change it up sometimes, but Ty doesn't like to:)
Who mows the lawn? That would be Ty. I've mowed the back a time or two, but Ty's all about the front looking emaculate (with all those diagonal lines and stuff) so that's all him!
Who cooks dinner? Ty used to do it all the time, but now I do. He doesn't have time with school and scouts these days. He's a much better cook than I am, but I'm learning:)
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Probably Ty.... I like to be right.... lol.
Who kissed who first? I'd say both. It was on New Year's Eve.
Who wears the pants? We both wear a leg! I think things work the best when you walk side by side:) Thanks sweetie! I love you. You are so great at taking care of things, supporting our family, and you always take care of me the best!

Now, I tag Addie, April, Annie O., Annie W., Alicia, and Andrea! (The "A" list! Hee, hee)

Hunter's First Birthday!

Well, Hunter turned 1!!! We had such a fun day... All the family came over to join us in celebrating Hunter's birth! It was so great. It made me reflect on all the wonderful things we love about Hunter:) Here's some of them:

* The way he gets so excited when you open his door in the morning.
* His hugs!
* How when you hold him on your hip, he puts his hand on your shoulder and he'll give it a little pump squeeze... it's adorable!
* He screams! Happy screaming, not mad. Sometimes it gets too much, but it's quite funny most of the time.
* He scrunches his nose and huffs & puffs.
* He scrunches his nose when he's fake crying.
* He scrunches his nose when he laughs... pretty much he loves to scrunch his nose.
* He says "Mama" after he wakes up and wants me to come get him.
* If you give him something he likes to eat, he'll say "more" but in his words, it's "mow".
* He can say "Dada", "No", "Mow", "Hot", "Moo" like a cow, and lots of other babbles.
* He loves to talk. We don't know what he says, but he tells lots of stories.
* He reads books! He'll sit on his little chair, open up his books, read aloud, point at the pages, and turns the pages. It's my favorite!
* He just started walking, and they are the cutest shaky little steps!
* When you change his diaper, as soon as the diaper comes off , it's hands to the wee-wee!
* He wrestles with Jersey and thinks it's the funniest thing in the world!
* When he's teething, he bites on things so hard that he vibrate-shakes all over!
* He loves to play in the water... any water!... whether it's Jersey's drinking water, our drinking water, the bathtub, pool's, the ocean, etc....
* He loves to play in the bathroom, and pull out all of mommy's make-up, hair products, lotions, and unroll the toilet paper rolls:)
* He loves to talk on our cell phones. Although not when "real" people are talking back; only his imaginary people:)
* He tries to feed us when he's eating.
* He also DOES feed Jersey when he's eating!
* When he stands at the window to watch daddy come home - he gets so excited!
* How he does this 'bear-crawl-like' thing whenever he's crawling on the pavement or grass. He hates it when his knees touch. It's hilarious!
* When he takes baths, he has this special orange cup he likes to fill up while the bath fills, and then drink it!

Well, I could go on and on forever... I already have:) But he is just too cute. We love you so much little dude!

Our 2 Year Anniversay!

Wow! Two years already! It's amazing how in one instance it seems like we've been married forever but at the same time I can't believe it's been two years already - I don't know if that makes any sense to anyone but me:)
But truly, I feel so blessed. I have the most amazing husband! He is truly like none other. Thank you sweetie for always treating me like your queen, for your thoughtfulness, for your unselfishness, for you never ending love, and for giving me the greatest gift of all... our son. Thank you for being the greatest dad, and friend! Hunter and I are so lucky to have you!

Look at that cute little grown up boy! His first haircut! He's had the old man hair so bad in the back, but I just didn't want to give in and cut if off. I finally had an excuse to get it done though cause we got our family pictures taken:) Yay!
What's happening to me Nana?
He loved to watch Brenda... probably cause he wasn't sure what she was doing to him:)

And there you have it... It looks super funny in this picture though for some reason. Mostly because my camera is the worst thing in the world! It used to be nice til it met Tyler hands... and then the water.... and now it's just looking for a replacement. Some day!

Home Again, Home Again. . .

We're back! It's amazing how fast vacations go, isn't it? So much preparation goes into them and then whoosh, it's all over! I know it's going to take me a little bit before I get our pictures up, so I just wanted to post a little blurb. Thanks to our wonderful parents, we had the opportunity to take our little family to the island of Oahu to celebrate Derek coming home and the family being all together. It was so great! We did so many fun activities, and had hours of relaxation by the beautiful pools and sandy beaches. Hunter had the best time. He's our little beach bum now! He couldn't get enough of the water and he did so good on the plane rides. We were so proud of him. I miss the scenery, the humidity, the fruit, the music, the water, the sand, the peace and serenity of the island. It was hard to leave, but being home is great as well. We have been gone this summer more than we have been home, so summer has gone by so fast as well. We have great memories to cherish though!

Martha, Delta, and Breaking Dawn

Okay so I just have to do a little venting. I normally don't do these kinds of posts, but here ya go. . .

For anyone who knows my friend Gina Barton, she would always refer to that 'not-so-wonderful time of the month we women are visited with' to as "Martha". So, as you can see my aggitation is because of woman's best friend, "Martha". I have been very fortunate of not having a visit from Martha for a really long time thanks to my beautiful son. Martha visited in January of '07, and then once again this last May. I have not since had a visit, and I have been done breast-feeding Hunter since he was 6 months. My doctor recommended starting my pill so I could get regulated. I have been taking it for 1 week and who decides to visit?? Martha! She is not supposed to come til week 4! Normally that would be just fine, but as some of you may know we are leaving for Hawaii in 3 days! I'm a little upset! I have not had a visit for months and she decides to come now? What is this?? And to top it all off I feel like my post-partum days are back. Really though I know I'm pretty lucky. Most women have really bad visits from Martha . . . . Okay, so that was enough venting on that. She just better be gone before we leave:)

Now, Delta... So Delta has now officially changed their baggage rules due to the inflation of prices, namely gas. Each passenger can now only have 1 checked bag that weighs no more than 50 lbs. They have always had the weight limit but now that you can only have one bag, complicates matters. Why? Well, when traveling with a child it gets tricky because what counts as a checked bag? A carseat! So, Tyler and I tried a 'practice pack' to see if we could fit everything we need for 3 of us for one week to Hawaii in 2 small carry-ons (which can only be 42" length+width+height) and one checked bag. That didn't work so well. I know it sounds like we should be able to. I thought so myself until we started packing 3 towels, formula, diapers, swim diapers, bathroom supplies, and the like plus our clothes and shoes... not enough room. So, we started looking into other options... Delta charges an extra $50 for each additional checked bag both ways. Yeah right! We looked into those Baby Rental places, but the only one on Oahu charges $36 to rent the car seat for the week, definitely good... but they also charge an extra $35 for drop and then pick-up. Again yeah right! So then we checked with our car rental to see if they offered anything. They rent car seats for $50 for the week with no other fees. Yay! That'll have to work. Still kinda stinky, but it will have to do:) So now I'm done venting...

For the good part of this post. I have the sweetest husband! I've been trying to get unpacked and settled from our last of 4 little trips, get everything figured out for this trip to Hawaii, and the millions of other things we do as moms this week. I've been a little busy and Tyler has noticed. Today as we are doing our "practice pack", he asks me to hand him his suit case which was sitting next to me. It was unzipped, and as I lift it open, I notice a book inside. . . what book may you ask?? Of course, "Breaking Dawn"! I love him so much! He knows that I've been too busy to get it, and I can't wait to start this trip. Please nobody spoil it! :)

Tri-Annual Dunford Family Reunion!

The wonderful Moroni Dunford family picture! This is just 1 of 7 family lines that come:)Between playing volleyball, water-balloon volleyball, soccer, swinging, making boats, eating, visiting local sites, quilting, auctioning items, and who knows what else went on... there was plenty to do!Hunter and Boston are the bestest buds! They loved doing everything together, including getting into trouble!"Mommy, can I have a horsey?"The lake is definitely the best part!Go Amy!Cutest little water boys!Isn't that the best dancing ever?!?The jet ski put him to sleep:) He's so cute! The carp were awful though! You drove right over them on the top of the water and there were a million!

And how can you go up to Bear Lake without stopping at La Beau's? It's the best end to a great weekend:)

Camping Season

Okay, so we have gone on 2 camp trips the last 2 weekends and I just haven't gotten the pictures up yet, so here ya go. . .

We went camping up Logan Canyon with my family over the weekend of the 17th. It was great! The location could have been a little better, but the company totally made up for it! We played tons of games from Blongo Ball to Sequence to Psychiatrist around the campfire. We fished, ate the best food, roasted mallows, and all the kids did so good. I was so proud of Hunter!

We then went camping in the Uintah's with the Gnehm's and Kenley's over the 24th. . .

For this trip, we took up the ATV's and went riding through the beautiful mountains. We also went fishing in the newly purchased rafts at Marsh Lake. The trout were great! We all caught some! Okay, almost everyone... Sorry Suz, Derek, and Cars:) We had a Camp Triathlon, which included events such as "Caw", Blongo Ball, and 22-Shooting. Rick was the winner! Good job Rick!! We also figured out that Catch Phrase is not our family's forte:) We had so much fun!

Thanks everyone for the wonderful memories and time spent. We love you all!

Hunter's First Rodeo!

We went to the Ogden Rodeo last night with Nana, Papa, Jennie, Anthon, Baylee, and Boston. It was so much fun! Hunter got adopted by Grandpa and Grandma Rollins while we were there. It was so cute! All it took was a sucker and Hunter was hooked:) Hunter loved watching all the animals and the crowd cheering... and he loved to watch Baylee yelling and jumping up and down! She is hysterical. I love Rodeo season!
