". . . Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching comes the changes. . . The tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleanded surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will - to your surprise - miss them profoundly. . . Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey. . . For one day each of us will run out of tomorrows." -Pres. Thomas S. Monson

Home Again, Home Again. . .

We're back! It's amazing how fast vacations go, isn't it? So much preparation goes into them and then whoosh, it's all over! I know it's going to take me a little bit before I get our pictures up, so I just wanted to post a little blurb. Thanks to our wonderful parents, we had the opportunity to take our little family to the island of Oahu to celebrate Derek coming home and the family being all together. It was so great! We did so many fun activities, and had hours of relaxation by the beautiful pools and sandy beaches. Hunter had the best time. He's our little beach bum now! He couldn't get enough of the water and he did so good on the plane rides. We were so proud of him. I miss the scenery, the humidity, the fruit, the music, the water, the sand, the peace and serenity of the island. It was hard to leave, but being home is great as well. We have been gone this summer more than we have been home, so summer has gone by so fast as well. We have great memories to cherish though!

That sounds so nice. We are JEALOUS!!! in the best possible way though :) We're excited to see the pictures (especially of your little beach bum getting his first taste of the ocean, he's so dang cute.)

K, about the chicken, yeah, you leave the beer (or whatever canned beverage you choose) in the cavity of the chicken the entire time it cooks. The center of the chicken is hollow, so you just stand the can up, and place the chicken over the can so that the can is resting inside the open part of the chicken. It just rests there and cooks. It's awesome, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask away.

Again, it sounds like you guys had an awesome time and we're glad you made it back safe! Remember to post pictures soon :) have fun

Ahh Hawaii. I love it there. I'm a little jealous. We haven't had a vacation all summer...other than to visit family up north. But that's not a real vacation. :( I'm glad someone is out there seeing the world.

So much fun! I can't wait to see pics! I bet Hunter was the cutest on the beach! Remember before you found out you were having a boy and you had that dream where a little boy was running along the beach by you ... there you go! I guess he wasn't quite running but you got the beach :) Someday we'll have to do this trip with you!
